Pool’s way more fun than Life Insurance, which is why you’ll find me propping up the bar at the Clevey and elsewhere watching my lad Charlie(9) challenging the locals. When Charlie was invited to join Clevey’s “D” Team last June he was made up. Having had a rocky start in the league, he was proud to have a good run in the handicap cup and be named on the trophy, recently presented by Scott & Gary.
It seemed fitting when the opportunity arose that we step up as a (very) small local business. There are only two of us in the business: me (Jon) and my long-term partner Rebecca (Charlie’s mum), but I think we punch beyond even my ever increasing weight. Take a look at our reviews, you may recognise some names.
As a broker, directly authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority(FCA) our customers have mortgages, children and their own financial wellbeing to protect. In other words, we specialise in Life Insurance, Critical Illness, Income Protection and Mortgage Protection.

We always play fair. Our overheads are low, and we easily compete with online prices and comparison sites etc. We deal with the high-street name insurers you know, and maybe some specialist insurer’s you don’t.
We add significant value in terms of the local, knowledgeable and professional service we provide, and with over 40 years experience between us, I like to think we’re a safe pair of hands.

Insurers pay us commission, the cost of which is included in the premiums we quote.
Does the commission you are paid increase my premiums?
It's unlikely there will be much difference between premiums we quote, versus dealing directly with an insurer or comparison website. And, as we have access to insurers not available to the public, you can be assured we will find you the right deal.
Will it be expensive to obtain the cover I need?

I have recommended Jon to a number of clients and he has always given the best advice according to their specific circumstances and the personal insurance market at the time, even if this means that the person takes out less insurance and there is less in it for himself. Jon will not sell you insurance, if he does not believe you need it. I consider Jon to be a credible, professional, expert in his field and even though I didn't obtain my own personal insurance through Jon (I wish I had), he is still generous with his time, advice and support. In fact, if it wasn't for Jon, I wouldn't have received the payout from my insurance claim, from my rubbish policy that I put in place with a not so credible adviser who was obviously only interested in his own commission. Despite Jon not being the insurance broker to my policy, he still managed my claim for me when the insurers were not going to payout during an already difficult time because of ill health. I would not and will not hesitate in recommending Jon to any of my professional or personal acquaintances in the future and wish Jon all the very best in the future.

Would highly recommend Jon and his team. He sorted our life insurance out from start to finish.
